FAQ
Do I need a Florida fishing license?
No. Every angler aboard is covered by our for-hire charter license, including the snook permit.
How many people can fish?
Up to 6 anglers on the 23' Carolina Skiff. Rates cover 4 anglers; each extra angler is $50. Offshore trips on the partner boat include 6.
What's included?
Fishing licenses, rods, reels and tackle, live bait, ice and cooler, fish cleaning, and photos and video of your catch. Bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, food and drinks.
Where do we meet?
250 Boatyard St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169. You'll get a text the night before with the exact slip and launch time, which we set around the tide.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is the captain's call. If he cancels, you choose: reschedule or a full deposit refund. If it's too rough for nearshore, we fish the lagoon instead.
How does the deposit work?
25% at booking locks your date. The balance is due at the dock. Cancel 72+ hours ahead for a full refund; inside 72 hours the deposit becomes a credit.
Can we keep fish?
Yes, where the law allows. Seatrout, black drum, snapper and more are fair game in season. Redfish in the Indian River Lagoon are catch-and-release. We clean and bag your keepers.
Do you run offshore trips?
Yes. True offshore and deep-reef trips run on a trusted partner's 34'+ boat out of Ponce Inlet. Nearshore jetty and beach trips (within 2 miles) run on our skiff when seas allow.
Is it good for kids and beginners?
Absolutely. The Family Half-Day is built for them: short run, sheltered water and fast action. The captain handles the knots and the hooks.
What's the best time of year?
There's always something biting. Fall (Sep–Nov) is prime for the mullet run, snook, tarpon and big reds. Spring brings cobia and trout. Check the season calendar for species by month.
